Ghost Dance site back up!

Anne-Marie After a slightly extended absence, I’m pleased to be able to announce that the Ghost Dance site is back and (hopefully) in full working order.

However, if you should happen to spot anything untoward, please drop me a private message via the Ghost Dance forum.

Phew.

Thanks for your patience.

Ghost Dance and March Violets videos uploaded to youtube…

I’ve been uploading all the videos from the Ghost Dance website to youtube, and while I was trawling through the archive I found a copy of The March Violets doing Turn To The Sky on BBC’s Saturday Superstore!!

So I’ve uploaded that too… :D

All of which can be found here:

Ghost Dance downloads

I’ve started moving the Ghost Dance audio & video downloads over onto my servers.

That should take a great strain off Gary’s hosting and his bandwidth consumption, and thus his hosting providers should not automatically lock the account and take the site down each time the site trips over its alloted bandwidth usage.

For now I’ve moved the Member’s Only download of the ‘Stop The World’ album, but next up will be moving the MPG and AVI videos. I will probably take advantage of the move to rework the videos to a common MPG format and upload them to my Quicktime streaming server :)

Also, most of the videos have found their way onto youtube so I might even embed the youtube copies directly into the video downloads page, saving most people the trouble of having to download the large file… (I’ll still make the MPGs available should anyone actually want to download them though)

Ghost Dance site is back up

www.ghostdance.co.uk is back up and running :)

Ghost Dance site down

As of this morning it looks like the Ghost Dance site is temporarily out of action.

It looks like the site has gone over its monthly bandwidth allowance with its hosting company – www.easily.co.uk – and will likely be unavailable until either Gary Marx sees it and contacts Easily, or we roll over into October and the allowance is reset.

The problem seems to be down to the site’s Audio and Video downloads sections getting a good hammering…

I’m helping Gary find alternate hosting solutions for the downloadable media.
